Plunderland is a Must Have App

Plunderland from JohnnyTwoShoes is going to be huge! You want this game. Take the best parts of Rolando, Angry Birds and Pocket God and put them into one game and you get Plunderland.

The concept if the game is that you are the ghost captain of a pirate ship in which you control by tilting. Attack other ships, islanders and more in this fun adventure.

The physics engine is great. The characters are cute and entertaining. And the gameplay is unique. Pull back to fire, pick up enemies and cannonballs and fling them. See the YouTube video below for a better idea of gameplay.

This game is a must have iPhone game that will soon be getting a lot of attention. I’m predicting it will be in the top ten apps by the end of the weekend.

Archetype 5×5 online FPS Shoots Onto The App Store

Check out Archetype! It’s a new FPS for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows team multiplayer.

Early impressions are coming in and so far all I’ve heard are positive. Most impressions from those that have played is that it looks great on the iPhone 4 and it plays very smooth. I will have a review up soon.

Above is an image from the training. I’ve only done the training and one actual match. The gameplay was smooth and it did look great. Also, the controls didn’t bother me like on some FPS games. I only played a single one on one game, but can already tell that this game has a lot of potential.

Check it out: Archetype $2.99

Geometry Wars Touch [ App Store ] has dropped 50% down to $4.99.  And the best part is that Geometry Wars is now a universal app, so it will play on your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

DizzyPad, My New Time Sucker

Dizzy PadNibleBit (developer of Scoops) has done it again!  Their newest game, DizzyPad is a great casual game that’s easy to play and really hard to put down. The object is to get your frog as far as possible.  The lilly pads spin and you tap to jump.  The only controls are a simple tap, yet the challenge is great as the further you make it, the faster the pads spin and the longer the distances are.  The graphics are superb, the sounds are fitting.  I’m a fan of Dizzypad.

If you like other NimbleBit games, like Scoops, SkyBurger, or Moon Drop, then I say it’s worth the $1.99.  If you’re not a “big” spender on the App Store, this is definitely worth $.99 if it ever drops in price.

Dizzy Pad: [ App Store ] $1.99
