If you’re looking for an accelerometer based game about a skydiver without a parachute falling down toward earth and needing to shift right and left to avoid random platforms, then I have the game for you!
I really enjoy the cartoon graphics. The perspective and motion is done perfectly. It really give you a sense of depth.
Help Dr. Archibald collect retirement money by tilting your device and collecting coins. This is a platformer / puzzle game that easier shown than described. Check out the video below and download it while it’s free if you like that type of game.
In my limited time playing, I found it pretty fun. I’m not sure if this game will have lasting fun but for free, you can’t really complain.
Released on May 5th, I’m predicting this gem of a game called Mega Jump will be in the top 100 by the end of the month. With a cute main character, spot on tilt controls and an addictive nature, this game has what’s needed to make it big. The only dissadvantage to this game is that it’s a little too hard at first. Games only last for about 20-30 seconds before you die. However, being so addictive, I just keep hitting the ‘play again’ button and have improved significantly.
To play the game, you tap the screen and your little guy jumps into the air. If he hits a coin he jumps again. Tilt your device to move him left and right and don’t fall below the screen. This is an endless game with the goal of getting as high as possible. It’s a game concept that we’ve seen a lot, but Mega Jump just seems to really get it right. Think of it as a faster-paced Doodle Jump with, dare I say, a cuter main character.
With my earlier prediction that this game will be in the top 100 by the end of the month, if the developers add an easy mode, I predict this game could easily make it to the top 10 or even top 5 games on the app store.
All in all, the backgrounds are awesome, the animations are really nice, sound effects are well done and the gameplay keeps you coming back. I recommend picking this game up for some quick pick up and play action.
Check out Little Metal Ball Today while it’s free. This is an accelerometer based game similar to labyrinth. I’ve been having fun playing this game and it’s worth owning if you like accelerometer type games.
This game plays great on the iPad too and looks surprisingly good upscaled to the bigger size.
One of the best games on the App Store has been updated again. This time Doodle Jump sees the addition of a Retro Rocket to the oh so fun Space Theme.
According to the app description, “Doodle gets to fly in a super-cool retro-rocket this week in Doodle Jump’s incredibly popular space theme! Rockets are very rare, but once you get one, it will take you waaaaaaay up!!! And – since Doodle is a very curious little Doodler, you’ll see him sticking his nose out the window of the rocket. Hmmm, could Doodle the Doodler be somehow related to dogs?”
