Racer, A Game Worth Looking Into

racer At it’s core Racer, from Tatem Games is just a simple avoidance game, but it’s actually a lot fun.  Use your finger to guide your car around others as your speed continues to increase. The  great graphics, online leader boards, and low price make this a game to have. A lite version has been released so check it out, then get the full version.  The lite version has a time limitation and only local leader boards. Urban Kick Academy is Free

uka

Urban Kick Academy has an interesting name that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the game, but that doesn’t take away from the fun.  This is a Kitten Cannon / Flight of the Hamsters style game where you launch your character and try to get him as far as possible.  Now, it’s not as fun as Flight of the Hamsters cause you don’t have quite the same control that you do in Hamsters, but there is is more interaction than in Kitten Cannon.

You start your game by choosing the angle of your launch and then the amount of power that zap your character.  By the looks of things they have somehow rigged a car hood to some power lines.  When the electricity reaches your character they are launched into the air.  The only interaction you have is giving your character a little bit of a boost by tapping on the screen.  The boost comes from a fart that the character lets out when you tap.  The longer you tap, the longer the fart and more altitude you get.  There’s a limited amount of flatulence, so use it wisely and see how far you can go.

The game is fun and for free it’s worth getting.  I still recommend Flight of the Hamsters over this game, but this is still fun.  Check it out.

Dropship is Now Free

dropship

This is a pretty fun shooter that I recommend picking up.  It’s a 2D/3D hybrid game where you must fly through caverns to rescue your friends and collect a “pod”.  The dual analogue controls work well and the best part of the game is that the names of the people you are rescuing are pulled from your iPhone or iPod Touch’s address book so you really are rescuing your friends.

I’m not sure how long this game will be free, so pick it up now.

This game is best describes as a platformer meets Dance Dance Revolution (or Tap Tap Revolution for the iPhone).  It’s a pretty fun game with nice graphics and for free you don’t want to miss this one.
