If you’re a fan of Super Mario Bros and wish it was available on the iPhone, you’re not alone. Unfortunately Mario is owned by Nintendo and it’s highly unlikely that we’ll ever see any Mario games on the iPhone.
Luckily for us, there are developers making games similar to Super Mario Bros to help fill the void. Omino is one of those games. The graphics, music and gameplay style are very similar to Super Mario Brothers, yet different enough to keep the game original.

I like the graphics and gameplay (the music could use some work) and in my limited play, it’s pretty fun.
Instead collecting mushrooms, like in Mario, you collect hats to power up. A blue hat let’s you walk on water and a red hat gives you to shoot a fireball.

The game is free for the first two levels, then you can purchase more through “in app purchases”
It’s free, so you should try it out.

Here’s a video of the first two levels.

Check out Archetype! It’s a new FPS for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows team multiplayer.
Early impressions are coming in and so far all I’ve heard are positive. Most impressions from those that have played is that it looks great on the iPhone 4 and it plays very smooth. I will have a review up soon.

Above is an image from the training. I’ve only done the training and one actual match. The gameplay was smooth and it did look great. Also, the controls didn’t bother me like on some FPS games. I only played a single one on one game, but can already tell that this game has a lot of potential.
Check it out: Archetype $2.99

Star Wars: Cantina is basically Diner Dash with Star Wars characters from what I can see. I’ve never played diner dash, so I can’t be certain. The basic gameplay puts you in control of a waitress in a cantina (yes, the Star Wars Cantina music plays) and you have to serve the local bounty hunters, moisture farmers and storm troopers among other characters.
This is your basic time management game, where you have to clear a table by tapping, take the dishes to the sink, seat the customers, take their order, pick up their order, and deliver it! And all of this have to be done within a timely manner and over six tables. Okay, so it’s not basic when you’re in the middle of a rush, but it is really fun. If you’re not quick enough or screw up orders the customers will get mad and either steal from you or shoot up the place.
I had no clue I was going to like it as much as I did. I just picked it up cause it was a Star Wars game. I played through the entire campaign, 15 Levels (plus a bonus) in one sitting. That is unusual for me. The campaign will last you about an hour or two. And if you’re a Star Wars fan like me you’ll really enjoy the music throughout the game. You get the standard cantina band music and also some more popular themes re-done in a elevator music style (but not annoying) that fits the atmosphere.
For those of you concerned that’s too short of a game, there is an endless mode where you just keep helping customers until they all get mad and the game is over. I actually really enjoy the endless mode as it really pushes you to pay attention as you play.
I’d recommend this game for anyone that’s a fan of Star Wars or time management games similar to Diner Dash.

Banzai Rabbit puts you in control of a super-rabbit that must hop across traffic to help people infected with a mutagen. If you’ve ever played Frogger, and enjoyed it, then you will really like Banzai Rabbit.

The graphics are decent and it’s a pretty fun game. It’s a basic game with simple controls. Swipe left, right, up, or down to move, and tap the power-up button when available to use it.
If you aren’t a fan of Frogger, or hopping back and forth across traffic doesn’t sound fun, then this isn’t the game for you.

There is more to do than in a game of Frogger, such as collect mutagen and power-ups that let you jump higher. But for the most part it’s the same game.

All in all, it’s a fun game with great graphics. If you’re a fan of Frogger, pick this one up.

Yes that title is referring to the TV series Lost! However this game is not made by the creators of Lost or ABC. Then why do I say it’s a Lost game if the app description doesn’t mention it at all?
Well let’s see…
1. You are a Smoke Monster going around killing people
2. You’re in the jungle
3. An airplane flies over that looks like it’s about to crash.
4. There are polar bears in the jungle
5. There are sonar barricades that you can’t pass through
6. The music is a perfect takeoff of the Lost score.
Just to name a few reason.
So if you’re a fan of the game snake, you might like this fun variation. However if you’re a true Lost fan, this game is a ‘must have’
For $.99 there’s no reason not to have this Lost…er…snake game.
